I was blessed with a much needed get away over the 4th of July Holiday.  I reconnected with nature while relaxing in the sun and water at Clear Lake.  I love that lake.  I have been going there with my family since I was a child in elementary school.  Daddy and Mommie would pile us 7 kids into the station wagon and we would go up to the Lake for 2 weeks each summer.  That's where I began to love and understand the peace and power of nature to heal.  I didn't understand it then, but I knew that I always felt so happy when I was up there.  I hesitated going up this time with  Mr Corona is still wreaking havoc but I felt sooo sad I when I decided to not go . . . I knew I had made the wrong decision.  So I got myself together and got out of town. . . I really hadn't realized how stressed I was until I was able to be still and relax.

My mental, emotional, and energetic systems were all out of whack from dealing with the madness we are all in the midst of.  My body was tired and achey . . . my mind was in a downward spiral from keeping up with politics and the news . . . my nerves were jagged  . . . and I had trouble sleeping.  The second night I was there I was able to get me some good sleep.

As I tuned into nature I began to unravel and relax from the inside out.  I was able to unhook from all the drama of the news and politics and last but not least I was able to release some of the collective energies that I had also taken on.  I had talked to my Spiritual Life Coach before I left and was telling her that I felt like I was in the eye of the tornado with chaos all around me. . . she asked me if I could go through it and rise up above the storm.  I hadn't even thought about that! I thought the best I could do was stay in the eye of the storm. I immediately said well yes . . . yes I could do that.

With sooo much going on it is easy to get caught up in the chaos and lose yourself.  We are being triggered and stressed seemingly beyond our limits.  Now is the time for radical self care in order to keep ourselves sane and balanced.  Here are the steps I took to bring  myself back into balance.

5 Steps for Stopping Overwhelm ~Life Coach Lela

Peace Be Still - Using your breath to slow down your over stimulated nervous system . . . too much is coming in

Owning You Mind - Focusing on the center of your head - using intent and breath to let go unwanted thoughts and energies

Coming Back to Your Body - Using Grounding to return to and come fully into our Bodies and bring your energy back

Connect with your Heart Wisdom - Using intent to move into the Heart Center to connect and ask for what you want and need.

Relax and Open to  Receive -  Trust that the Universe has your back and help is on the way

We will be going over these 5 Steps Empaths can use to deal with overwhelm at our Women's Healing Circle.
