During this seemingly expanded moment of "now"  within the Great Pause brought to us by Mr Corona,  I have deliberately distanced myself from feeling the pain concerning slow and deliberate death of George Floyd.

As an Empath I sought protection and built  a wall around my emotions to shield my Heart and transcend  the situation . . . not wanting to get sick or fall into a pit of depression.

One morning as I sent prayers and energy to Mr Floyd's family the wall around my heart broke down on it's own accord

I didn't fall into a pit of despair as I had feared, but into a river of anger and rage

My carefully calculated distance was gone and I was deeply lost, both energetically and emotionally in the collective mix of pain, suffering, and chaos.

I forced myself to watch the whole eight minute slow death process of George Floyd . . . something I just could not do before

I called on the Ancestors and the Universe for help as I allowed the tears to flow and the anger to run

Deep into this  process I would hear a inner thought-voice saying . . .ground yourself,  bring in more light, expand your capacity. . . you are bigger than this.

The awareness became clear . . .  now is not the time to distance myself  . . . nor try to spiritually transcend the situation . . .  but to engage, face it, and move through it.

To feel the pain, suffering, and anger within my body and allow it to break down and move the pain of racism and  that has always been a part of my life

To feel the depth of my rage but not get lost in it

To allow the energetic intensity of my anger to begin to free me from within.

The charge now is to use the energetic and emotional intensity of our anger to demand social justice.

I am deeply moved by the diversity and courage of those protesting  as Mr Corona is still stalking us

I understand people saying" I am mad as hell, and I am not going to take it anymore"

I  understand that now is the time to step up and get our voices heard  . . . . to create fundamental change

But I do not understand nor support those who seek to hijack our righteous anger and use it to support violence, mayhem, and anarchy.

We are better than that . . . we want more than that!

We are all in this Together

We are at a critical point of growth. . . and our actions now will change our nation.

Together we demand  a system . . . a society . . . a world that empowers and works for ALL of us

May we all connect through the Divine Human Spirit and protect, serve and respect one another as we all navigate the tremendous Change that is now taking place on the planet  . . . on so many different levels.

Peace and Blessings, Lela

Anger Makes Us Aware of Injustice - from Good Therapy Blog

We often experience anger when we are denied rights or when faced with insults, disrespect, injustice, or exploitation. Anger serves as an internal guidance system that indicates something is not quite right, that someone has treated us unjustly or unfairly. Anger helps communicate to others: “You’d better treat me fairly; otherwise, you’ll pay a high cost.” On a global level, standing up for a lack of fairness can prevent people from taking advantage of others. This type of anger can bring about positive change in society and increase the social cost of misbehaving.
