Here's my daughter Talya and my granddaughter LaShon waiting to be interviewed on the news in Seattle." Pacific North West's #1 Soul Food Restaurant, The Comfort Zone, was showcased on Komo 4 News. The Comfort Zone was recognized not only for their delicious cuisine, but also their participation in Plate of Nations".  Their food was featured and eaten on the program which was promoting Plate of Nations, an annual food festival in Seattle.  Their restaurant, The Comfort Zone, is doing well now and they are expanding into doing more catering.  But this wasn't always the case . . . this is their third restaurant together.  The other two were not as successful and they choose to close them down.. . . but they didn't give up . . . they keep on going and used the lessons learned to move forward.  They were committed. . . and would not let go of their dream . . .even when the going got tough. I am so proud of them.

A Dream Deferred

by Langston Hughes

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

 DEFERRED OR RECYCLED ?

 by Talya Miller

I have to ask the question cuz my dreams don't get deferred.

Re- written ... Re- worked.... Re-thought

My Dreams become R-E-C-Y-C-L-E-D

Changing into something I can currently use

I cry for them for three minutes . . .

Because ain't nothing scarier than having to re-work a dream

Then I do the necessary and recycle them into New Mind Fuel

As I continue to Grow

I repeat as I continue to Grow

 Cuz my Growth is Constant.

I use Recycled Dreams as one of my many Tools . . .

So Forget about Deferment ....

I got the answer .....

Recycling is the Key ! ! !

Say a simple prayer for Change and Progress . .  .

And head for the Future to set your Dreams Free ! ! !
