Sitting in Daddy’s chair . . . the comfy recliner with my feet up. . . feeling the warm sun gently touching my skin . . . my breathing is slowing down and I feel my body relaxing, as I read one of my favorite books, Lilith’s Brood by Octavia Butler,. I reach over and sip my warm ginger tea with lemon, and as it soothes my sore throat I sigh with relief. As I lean back and close my eyes the dull ache and heaviness of sadness in my lungs begins to get lighter. I had received some disturbing news earlier and needed time to let it simmer. . . As I gently moved into a meditative state I began breathing into my heart and as I relaxed deeper into the moment I asked . . . what is mine to do . . . and waited for the answer.
Heart Breathing.
The heart is the engine of our bodies. It is the heart that governs our primary rhythms. Tension affects the rate of beats of the heart and thus the body. When we bring the heart rate into balance our bodies relax and our emotions become calm.
As our emotions are the gate-keepers to the heart wisdom, peace is the key.
With your focused intention, allow your breath to invite peace in.
- Allow your focus to shift to your chest.
- Imagine that you are breathing through your heart
- Breathe in gently and hold
- Breathe out gently and hold
- Now allow yourself to think of someone or something in your life you really love and care about.
- Allow the love or good feeling to begin to flow through your heart.

Continue to allow the feeling to flow as you breathe through your heart
- Heart Focus – Shift your attention to the area of the heart and breathe slowly and deeply. See yourself sitting in your heart.
- Heart Breathing – While sitting in your heart gently breathe –five seconds in and five seconds out through your mouth. Do this until you feel relaxed.
- Heart Feeling – Activate and sustain a genuine feeling of appreciation or care for someone or something in your life. If possible call that person into your heart to sit with you. Focus on the good heart feeling as you continue to breathe.
- Allow the visualization to gently fade away, and give thanks.

Anytime you are in a place of anger, fear, resentment, anxiety, insecurity or confusion, simply state your intention that "In this moment and for this day, I only allow my Higher Self to lead the way."
We will infuse you with our love, it is never ending, and for now, we will leave you be.
